Early Years Foundation Stage
This includes Nursery and Reception Class children. Nursery has 39 part-time places each morning and afternoon in a recently redesigned and newly equipped environment. Children start nursery as soon as possible after their 3rd birthday, as long as there is a space. They attend for 3 hours a day - either every morning or every afternoon.
Reception Class - children enter the two Reception classes in the September after their 4th birthday when they attend full-time. Children in Reception have regular access to the Nursery outdoor area and also have a smaller outdoor courtyard available to them.
Key Stage 1
This includes Year 1 and Year 2 children (between the ages of 5 and 7 years). Lessons in Key Stage 1 are more formal than in Foundation Stage, but children still have access to outdoor learning and practical activities. There are 2 classes in each year group. All four classes work very closely together in order to deliver a creative and inspiring curriculum.
Key Stage 2
This includes children from Year 3 to Year 6 (between the ages of 7 and 11 years). There are two classes in each year group with Years 3 & 4 working closely together as Lower Key Stage 2 and Years 5 & 6 working together as Upper Key Stage 2.By the end of Year 6 children will be prepared for the move to secondary school.
